Danny Galieote was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and has been working out of his studio professionally for more than 20 years. He attended several colleges of art, including California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, where he was a top figure drawing instructor for many years. While always working on his fine art skills of drawing and painting, Mr. Galieote also had a long career as a top, traditional 2D, character animator at the Walt Disney Animation studios, where he has also taught figure drawing.

Danny is now a full-time painter represented by Arcadia Gallery in New York. His work, painted in a manner which combines the stylizations of the WPA artists of the 30’s and 40’s, the Regionalists and the Renaissance masters, Pontormo and Andrea Del Sarto, offers a deep insight into our hidden secrets and thoughts. While his paintings may hint at some nostalgia, they come across as modern to the viewer and are mainly concerned with universal, timeless themes of human nature.
